Why does nobody warn you about the parts hunt for a '65 Galaxie
Three weeks ago I drove from Cleveland out to a guy in Sandusky who swore he had a correct grille for my '65 Galaxie and I paid $340 cash for something that turned out to be a Fairlane piece. Then last Saturday the local swap meet in Medina had two of them right there, both cheaper than what I paid, and I just stood there holding my coffee feeling dumb. I get that these parts don't grow on trees but why does the internet make it so hard to tell what actually fits? Has anyone had luck with a good source for Galaxie sheet metal that isn't gonna ship me the wrong thing twice?
