My 65 Mustang died at a red light on Route 9 in August, and I fixed it with a dime

The car just quit on the way to a show and I found the points gap had closed up, so I set it with a dime from my cup holder and made it the last 12 miles. Anyone else carrying a spare dime in the glovebox or is that just an old trick my dad passed down?
