Old way vs new way: my brush technique got a total makeover

I used to just ram my brush up and down like a madman for 45 minutes on every job. Then I watched an old timer in Portland demo a controlled spin method on a 6 inch flue. Cut my job time in half and left way less dust behind. Anyone else switch up a basic move that just clicked one day?

Did you catch that video of the guy using a shop vac attachment while spinning? Game changer.

Yeah totally agree with @oscarhart on the shop vac thing being a game changer. That guy's setup with the hose taped right to his board is wild because it actually keeps the dust from flying everywhere while you're trying to get a good spin. I've tried using a dustpan after sanding bowls and it takes forever, plus you breathe in all that crap. But what got me thinking is if you could rig something similar for hollow forms or deep vases, like a smaller attachment that goes inside while you spin. That would save so much cleanup time and mess.
