Hit my 300th service tonight and it felt WEIRD

I've been on the line for about 4 years now, mostly at a busy spot in Austin, and tonight we did our 300th dinner service since I started tracking. I didn't expect it to matter, but when I looked at the ticket count after closing, it just hit me different. Three hundred nights of the same rush, the same burners, the same tickets piling up, and somehow it still feels like day one when the Friday wave comes. I started counting because I wanted to see if I'd get numb to the chaos, but honestly it only made me respect the rhythm more. The weird part is that 300 is such a random number, not even a full year of doubles or anything fancy, but it made me realize how many small plates I've sent that I barely remember. Does anyone else keep a count of services or covers, or am I just making my own weird milestone for no reason?
