Vent: that bus stop bench in Austin is a trap for good samaritans

I stopped to help a guy with a flat tire near the Lakeline station last Tuesday and he tried to sell me a 'certified used' watch from his backpack, $40 cash. Then three other people nearby started circling like I was a mark. Has anyone else had a 'stranded stranger' turn into a sales pitch at that stop?

Whoa, that's wild (and sketchy, honestly). That spot is pure bait for anyone with a working heart. A "flat tire" that somehow turns into a watch pitch within thirty seconds? Classic scammer move. And the circling crew? Yeah, that's the tell right there, they're looking for a distracted target. Better to just call 311 from your car and keep the doors locked, trust me.
