Just realized the $4 laundry cart tip I got from a stranger at a Denver wash-and-fold saved me 20 minutes a week
Two Saturdays ago I was at a wash-and-fold on Colfax in Denver with two giant IKEA bags of clothes and no cart, just dragging them across the floor like an idiot. A guy folding his own stuff looked up and said, "you know they got those rolling carts behind the counter, right?" I did not know. He walked over, grabbed one, and showed me it holds about 40 pounds and rolls right up to the machine. I started using it every visit and I timed it: my drop-off went from 22 minutes of hauling bags to under 4 minutes, which is small but real. Then he told me the actual trick, which is to sort at home into one bag for cold wash and one for warm, so they don't charge me the mixed-load fee. I did that the next trip and my ticket dropped from $31 to $19. Has anyone else gotten a random tip from a stranger at a laundromat that turned out to actually work?

Ha, my big laundromat tip from a stranger was "don't put your phone on top of the machine," which I learned the hard way anyway. Yours actually saved you money, mine just saved me from buying a second phone.
