Appreciation post: the guy who jumped my car in a Kroger lot in Tulsa taught me a 20 second habit
My battery died in the Kroger lot on 15th Street in Tulsa back in March, and a guy in a work van pulled up before I even got the cables out of my trunk. While he hooked things up he told me he checks his battery terminals every oil change, takes 20 seconds, and it would have saved him two jump starts last winter. I started doing it the next weekend and found a bunch of white crust on the positive post, cleaned it off with a wire brush and some baking soda. That was 4 months ago and my truck has started clean every single time since, even on the cold mornings. I never got his name, just a wave as he drove off. Do you all have small upkeep habits like that, or am I late to the party on this one?
