The vet tech in Fresno taught me the towel trick after my cat walked across a client pitch call
Last Tuesday I was on a video call pitching a website to a client and my cat Milo jumped on my desk and parked himself right in front of the camera. I panicked and tried to shoo him, which just made him sit down. Then I remembered what the vet tech at my clinic in Fresno told me during his last checkup, that a towel draped over your arm turns your hand into a hiding spot and the cat goes calm. I tried it mid-call, dropped a dish towel over my forearm, and Milo crawled right under it and stayed quiet for the rest of the meeting. The client actually laughed and said his cat does the same thing. Does the towel thing work on dogs too or is it just a cat brain hack?
