Serious question, did that $12 phone stand ruin my big work call or save it?
I set my phone on a cheap $12 stand for a video interview with a recruiter in Boston last Tuesday, and 4 minutes in my cat Binx jumped on the desk and knocked the whole thing sideways. I always thought those stand horror stories were fake, but watching my own face tilt to the ceiling while Binx sat on my keyboard convinced me fast. Has anyone else had a pet wreck a call and still somehow gotten the job?

Cat on keyboard mid interview is basically a personality test. Recruiters see way worse. If you laughed it off and kept talking, you probably came off better than the boring guy with a blank wall.
