My vet advised me to lock my cat in the bathroom during Zoom interviews, and now I'm wondering if that's the real fix or just hiding the problem
Six months ago my orange tabby, Nacho, jumped on my desk during a job interview and knocked over a glass of water right onto my laptop. My vet in Phoenix said to shut him in the bathroom with a toy during any call that actually matters. It worked for two weeks, but now he screams like he's being tortured from behind the door and it's way more distracting than when he was just walking across the keyboard. So here's my debate: do you crate them, lock them out, or just accept that your pet is part of the meeting? I want to know what actually worked for you and whether your pet's noise cost you something real.

Diana, what exactly do you think the rest of us should be posting about on a pet forum? The bathroom thing is a real issue because Nacho went from background noise to full on panic mode, which means the vet's fix just traded one problem for a worse one. How long did you try the bathroom setup before deciding it wasn't working, and did you ever figure out if he was scared or just bored and loud?
