My cat picked the worst moment to broadcast during a job interview on Zoom
I was on a second round interview last Tuesday and things were going fine until my tabby jumped onto the desk and knocked my phone right in front of the camera. The interviewer saw the whole thing, including my cat's tail covering the lens while he purred like a motorboat. I froze for a second, then just said 'sorry, he thinks he's the CEO too' and we both laughed. It actually broke the ice and we spent the next five minutes talking about pets. Has anyone else had a pet do something that accidentally saved the conversation?
Three years ago my dog ate a $40 steak off the counter during a family Zoom call. My grandma was mid-sentence about her hip surgery and the dog just grabbed it and ran. We all stared at the empty plate for like ten seconds then my dad yelled "well there goes the inheritance" and everyone lost it. Grandma laughed so hard she almost fell off her chair. That call turned into our new family tradition of roasting each other every holiday.
