My cat knocked my headset off mid-interview and I blamed the wrong thing for weeks
I had a phone screen for a junior sysadmin job back in March and my cat Migo swatted my headset right off the desk, so the recruiter heard a loud clatter and I said it was my chair. For like 3 weeks I kept telling people the lesson was to lock the cat out of the room first. Then a coworker pointed out the real issue, which is that I'd set the headset on the edge of the desk instead of clipping it, and Migo just finished what gravity started twice before. Seems like everyone blames the animal when it's usually us leaving stuff in swat range, you know? Curious if anyone else has a spot their pet goes for while they're on a call, mine is anything hanging off the left side of my desk.
