Caught my cat licking the mic on a Zoom call with my boss in Austin last week
She jumped on my desk right as I was pitching a raise and started purring into the headset, so my boss heard this weird rumbling for like 40 seconds. Does anyone have a trick to keep their cat off their desk during calls, because closing the door just makes her scream louder.

The "she just screams louder" part got me because mine does the exact same thing. My cat Gus once walked across my keyboard mid performance review and somehow turned on the camera and typed a wall of j's into the chat. I tried putting a chair next to my desk so he'd sit there instead and it worked for about a week before he decided the chair was boring. Now I keep a decoy cardboard box on the floor and he picks that over the desk most days.
