Shoutout to carpet tiles picking up in my neighborhood

I keep getting jobs where people want carpet tiles instead of rolls. It felt like a win to finish one so quick last week, and the customer loved it. Has anyone else seen this switch where you work?

Hold up, you finished a whole carpet tile job that quick? That's UNREAL. I always thought those things were a huge pain to install right. Seeing them pop up everywhere now just blows my mind. If folks are ditching rolls for tiles, they must really hate dealing with old carpet stains. But getting it done that fast seems way too good to be true. My buddy in flooring says the glue alone can take forever to set.

Actually, carpet tiles have come a long way. A lot of them now use peel-and-stick backs or click systems, so you skip the wet glue wait. With a good subfloor and planning, I can knock out a room in a few hours. It's all about having the right method from the start.

What's the secret, @skyler854, a magic wand? I tried those peel-and-stick tiles once in my own place and it was a mess. Half of them didn't stick right and the other half looked crooked by morning. You make it sound like a breeze, but I spent more time peeling them back up than putting them down. Maybe the glue-on ones are better, but then you're right back to waiting forever for it to dry without your shoes getting stuck.
