Warning: that $85 magnetic stud finder from the supply house in Omaha is worthless on old plaster
It kept going off on the lath and I put 6 holes in a client's wall before I gave up and switched back to my $12 magnet on a string. Any of you got a finder that actually works on 1920s plaster, or do I just eat the cost?
