A retired framer in Boise convinced me to skip the sill sealer on my shop build, and now I am paying for it
I built a 24x30 shop outside Boise last fall and a retired framer with 40 years in the trade said sill sealer was a waste of money on a slab. I skipped it to save about $80, and after one winter of snow melt I have moisture creeping under the bottom plate in two corners. Is there a fix short of pulling the plates, or do I just live with it and seal the outside?
