Traded a bar crawl for a midnight diner run and it was way better
Had plans to hit 5 bars with my buddy Vince last Saturday. He bailed at 8pm so I drove to Denny's solo and ate a grand slam at 1am. The waitress refilled my coffee 4 times without me asking - worth way more than any overpriced IPA.

72nd and Main has a Waffle House that saved my hide more than once after my late shifts. I swear that cook knows my order by heart now, always drops a fresh coffee pot near my booth. You get that same late night calm without the bar crowd or the noise, just a solid meal and nobody bothering you. Good call on skipping the bars, honestly feels like you get more out of that quiet booth than any loud room full of people.
