My neighbor Mrs. Gable took me aside last Saturday and told me I was ruining my garden hose by leaving it in the sun all summer
She showed me how the UV rays crack the rubber after a few months and said to store it in the garage... I never even thought about that. Anyone else have a neighbor who dropped some simple wisdom on them like that?

Wait is that actually a big deal though? I've left hoses out in the sun for years and they get a little stiff but still work fine.

Oh man @derek_perez, I told myself the same thing till I left mine out for three summers straight and it literally split in half when I turned the water on! Rolling it up into a sunny spot near the garage after each use kept mine going for years instead.
