Hurricane canceled my beach trip, ended up at a random roadside diner in Savannah

Last August my group had 6 nights booked at Tybee Island but the storm warning hit the night before we left, so we scrapped it and drove inland instead. We ended up at this tiny diner off I-16 where the owner let us play his old jukebox for free and taught us how to make their secret peach cobbler recipe. Has anyone else had a cancellations that somehow led to a better memory than the original plan?
