Had a whole weekend camping trip in the Poconos fall apart because my friend's car broke down an hour before we were supposed to leave.

We were all packed and ready to go, then got the call. Instead of moping, the three of us who were still in town decided to have a 'campout' in my tiny apartment. We pitched a tent in the living room, ordered a truly stupid amount of pizza, and watched terrible survival shows. My buddy brought his guitar and we tried to write a song about a broken transmission. Honestly, it was way more fun than dealing with bugs and rain would have been. The only real casualty was my couch, which now has a permanent dent from the tent pole. Has anyone else ever turned a totally busted plan into a weirdly great memory?

Right, the tent pole thing! I was trying to dry the tent in my living room after a camping trip. Had it propped up, and the whole thing just tipped over. The metal end hit the couch cushion so hard it left a permanent crater. It looks like someone took a baseball to it, lmao. I'm so mad at myself for not just setting it up outside.

My buddy did that with a kayak paddle in his apartment (don't ask). Put a hole right in the drywall.
