Drove 90 minutes to a waterfall, gate was locked, ended up at a diner with a 4 foot pancake on the wall
Me and my buddy drove up to Cascade Falls last Saturday, 90 minutes each way, and the gate was chained with a sign that just said CLOSED FOR SEASON. We stood there for like 5 minutes just staring at it. So we drove back and stopped at this random diner in Raymond and they had a 4 foot wooden pancake nailed to the wall with googly eyes glued on it. Spent $14 on two coffees and a slice of pie and honestly it was a better trip than the hike would've been. What's the weirdest thing you've found while killing time after a plan fell apart?
