A founder in Toronto told me something about payment tech that stuck with me

I was at a small meetup in Liberty Village about two months ago, talking to the founder of a new B2B payments startup. He said, 'Honestly, the real fight isn't for the big banks, it's for the small businesses that still use paper checks.' He explained how his whole system is built just to make that one step easier for a local shop. It made me think about how many fintech ideas start with a huge market but miss the simple problems. Has anyone else built something around a really basic, old-school pain point like that?

Forget small shops, chase the big money.

Exactly, those small fixes add up fast.

Yeah the small fixes really do add up, it's like that time I tried to fix a leaky faucet myself and ended up flooding the bathroom. Carter.casey has a point about big money, but sometimes you gotta learn the basics on small stuff first or you'll just make a bigger, more expensive mess.
