Shoutout to hitting 100 campsite setups this summer
I keep a little log of every trip I take, and this past weekend I hit 100 setups since I started keeping track back in 2018. That number surprised me because I don't feel like I go that often, maybe once a month tops. Has anyone else ever counted how many nights they've actually spent out under the stars?

And that's the thing right there, we don't realize how MUCH we're actually doing something until we write it down. I bet most people who go camping even a few times a year would be shocked if they actually logged it. It's like looking at your gas bill or your grocery receipts at the end of the month. It all seems small until you add it up. 100 nights out is a LOT of time unplugged and paying attention to the little things like how to set up a tent in the dark or what gear actually works for you.

Wait, 100 nights? That's nuts. I honestly didn't catch that number the first time I read it. I mean, I've been camping maybe 10 times total in my life and I thought that was a lot. Idk, 100 nights feels like you're basically living out of a tent for a whole season or two. That's like a whole summer of weekends and then some. It's wild to think about how much you must learn about your gear after that many nights. Like, you'd know exactly how to fix a broken zipper in the rain or which sleeping bag actually keeps you warm at 3am.
