PSA: the $240 sleeping pad that saved my back on a 3 night trip in the Ozarks
I almost bought the $40 foam pad instead, but after 3 nights on rocky ground in Arkansas with zero back pain I'm wondering if anyone else has a price limit where cheap gear just isn't worth the gamble?

Calling it a gamble when the $40 pad would've just been a little firm seems like a stretch, no? Rocky ground for 3 nights is hardly a survival test.
