Shutter curtain glue failed after 2 weeks, tried a different trick
Rebuilt a Pentax K1000 shutter last month. Used contact cement like I always do. Worked fine for about 12 days. Then the curtain edge just peeled off mid-roll. Customer was not happy. Turns out the humidity in my shop was too high when I glued it. Re-did it with a tiny bit of heat from a hair dryer before pressing. Held solid after 300 test fires. Anyone else run into glue issues with curtain material in damp weather?
