Pro tip: the tiny screw on a Konica C35 rangefinder cover sits under the leatherette
Spent two hours last Saturday trying to get the top plate off a C35 for a shutter clean and kept feeling like I was missing a fastener. Turned out there's a fifth screw hidden right under the leatherette near the wind lever, and I only found it after poking around a repair thread on a forum from 2009. The service manual I had didn't mention it at all, which seems crazy for such a common camera. Ended up tearing a corner of the cover before I figured it out. Is there a running list anywhere of these hidden screws on old fixed lens rangefinders, or is it just word of mouth?
