Can we talk about the number of old film cameras still in use?

I was reading a repair log from a shop in Chicago and saw they serviced over 200 vintage film cameras last year. That's just one shop. It surprised me because I figured most people had moved on to digital by now. I guess there's a real demand for keeping these old mechanical things running. Has your shop seen a similar increase in film camera repairs?

Notice more people fixing old things like record players and typewriters too.

Isn't it wild how many are still out there? My local shop is swamped too, just like @dixon.iris said about record players.

The repair numbers don't surprise me at all. My local guy has a six-month waitlist just for basic CLA work on old SLRs. It's the same trend @rubyshah mentioned, where people want the tactile feel of mechanical devices. Parts are getting scarce, so a good technician is worth their weight in gold.
