Why does nobody mention that coax prep direction matters until you hit a 200 foot drop?
I spent 6 years stripping ends the same way, always pushing the tool away from me, then one cold morning on a rental property in Toledo I grabbed it backwards out of habit and suddenly every connector seated clean as a whistle, so now I'm wondering if the tool's direction actually controls how the braid lays or if I just got lucky, has anyone else switched directions and seen a difference on long runs?

Six years pushing the same way and one backwards grab fixes everything, that's about right for this trade. Probably the braid fans out different on the backstroke, but honestly I've flipped my tool mid-run before and couldn't tell if it helped or I just wanted it to work. Last week I stripped a 50 footer backwards, connector seated fine, then did the next one forwards and it fought me the whole way, so now I'm paranoid about my grip like some kind of coax mystic.
