Switched from push connectors to compression fittings for RG6, night and day difference
I did a 12-unit apartment building last Friday and used push connectors on the first 4 units. Had to go back and re-terminate 3 of them because the signal kept dropping. Has anyone else found compression fittings worth the extra few seconds per connection?

Oh man, push connectors are just begging for a callback.

I had push connectors in a 15 unit complex a few years back and they're still holding strong after three winters. Maybe it depends on the brand or how clean your cuts are. Craig.john's experience sounds rough but 60 units is a lot of connections to mess up. Could be operator error as much as the fitting itself honestly. Are you sure it's that big of a deal or just a loud cautionary tale?

I redid a building with 60 units last year and used push connectors on about half of them. Had to redo nearly a quarter within two months. I spent the extra time on compression fittings for the rest and haven't heard a peep since.
