Just realized a scrap piece of coax makes a perfect pull string guide through a packed 2-gang box
Spent 20 minutes last week fighting a stiff fish tape through a box crammed with old Romex and it kept snagging on everything. Cut a 3 foot chunk of RG6, taped it to the new cable, and it slid through smooth on the first try, so has anyone else ditched the fish tape for this?
Man, I feel your pain on that fish tape snagging on every little thing in a packed box. It's the worst when you're already sweaty and crammed in a tight spot and the tape just keeps catching on old wire. The coax trick makes total sense since it's stiff enough to push but slick enough to slide.
