Fiber splicing vs old coax taps, night and day difference

Back in 2012 I'd spend 20 minutes on a coax tap with a compression tool and still get callbacks. Now I can fusion splice a drop in under 5 and walk away. Anyone else notice the training curve for fiber was way easier than they expected?
