Can we talk about the $400 penalty clause my old contract had hidden on page 6?
A lawyer I paid $150 for a one hour review told me my payment terms were fine but my late fee clause could get me sued in small claims, so I rewrote it myself that weekend. Anyone else get burned by fine print a cheap review caught before it was too late?

Did you catch it yourself first or did the lawyer point it out? Either way that $150 was money well spent if it saved you from a small claims mess. I got hit with something like that years back, a buried clause about auto-renewal that locked me in for another year. Wish I had paid someone to read it before I signed. Good on you for rewriting it instead of just complaining about it.
