My 10-year-old nephew asked why my business website doesn't have a 'fun facts' section about me.
He said, 'People buy from people they like, and I'd like you more if I knew your favorite dinosaur,' which honestly made me rethink my whole 'professional only' bio page.

What about making the fun facts change with the seasons or holidays? Like a pumpkin carving pic in October or your summer reading list. It keeps the page fresh without needing a full rewrite, and shows you're an actual person with a life outside work. That kid's onto something, a static corporate bio feels like talking to a wall.

I read a marketing blog last year that said adding personal details can increase trust by something like 30%. Your nephew is totally right. I used to have just a stiff headshot and my job history on my site. I added a short bit about coaching my kid's soccer team and my terrible attempt at baking bread. The emails I get now feel way more friendly from the start. People do want to connect with a person, not just a logo. That kid is smarter than most consultants I've paid.
