Why I ditched color coding in my bullet journal

I used to color code all my tasks, but it took too much time. A lot of people say it helps with organization, but for me, it was just extra work. Now I use a black pen and my journal is easier to use. I finish more tasks without the fuss. So, maybe color coding isn't for everyone.

Color coding took too much time? But isn't the whole point of a bullet journal to make things quicker? I can't imagine setting up all those colors for every single task. Did you have a specific system for what each color meant, or was it just random?
