Swapped my weekly spread for a daily log 3 months back

I used to spend like an hour every Sunday setting up these big elaborate weekly spreads with color coded sections and washi tape borders. Then I missed a few days in a row during a busy stretch at work and it felt like a waste. Now I just use a simple daily log with rapid logging bullets and migrate unfinished tasks, it takes 5 minutes tops. Anyone else move away from fancy layouts after they got tired of maintaining them?

@robert_bell nailed it. The maintenance killed me too. What finally made you pull the trigger on switching? For me it was three straight Sundays of copying the same undone tasks over and over. The daily log feels way more forgiving now. Miss a day and you just pick up where you left off. No guilt about a ruined layout. No washi tape budget going up in flames. Did you keep any part of your old system or did you go full minimalist?

Copying the same undone tasks over and over" was exactly my breaking point too. @robert_bell did you switch to a full daily log or end up keeping some weekly review habit to stay on track?

Ditched my fancy layouts months ago too and never looked back.
