My old habit tracker got a rethink after a podcast bit about streaks
I was listening to this podcast on the drive to work last Wednesday, and the host mentioned that tracking streaks can actually make you more likely to quit after you break one. That hit me because my bullet journal has this 30-day habit tracker where I mark every day I drink water. Now I'm switching to a simple "X" for each time I do something, no streak numbers at all. Has anyone else tried a no-streak tracker and noticed a difference?

Oh man, YES. I totally get this! I had the exact same wakeup call after I lost a 47 day gym streak and just stopped going for like two weeks because I felt so defeated lol. Now I just put a little dot in my calendar for days I work out, no counting at all. It's so much less pressure and honestly I'm actually more consistent now. The whole streak thing was definitely making me focus on the wrong thing. I'm glad you're trying the X system, I bet it'll feel way better for you too.

Lost a 30 day run myself last year. @hannahsingh, the dot method is genius.
