My local coffee shop's bullet journal board got me thinking
I stopped into Brew & Bean in Portland last Tuesday and noticed they have this big community bulletin board where people post spreads they're proud of. Someone had a full month layout tracking their reading habits with these tiny hand-drawn book spines for each title. Have any of you ever tried doing a public display of your journal pages somewhere? Seems like it could be fun or maybe just awkward.

Feels like overthinking a hobby to me. I keep my journals in a drawer and that's fine. A public board for your reading log just seems like extra pressure to make it look good. But if people enjoy doing that, whatever floats their boat I guess.

Totally get what you're saying! It's easy to feel like turning a hobby into something public adds a layer of stress that takes the fun out of it. Sometimes just having a quiet space for yourself is the best way to keep it relaxing.

@daniel_martin making a public board actually helped me finish 7 books last year.

Actually, this setup might help someone like me who has trouble remembering what I even read last month. A public board forces me to actually finish books instead of drifting off midway and pretending I didn't.
