Found a $2.50 receipt from the grocery store in my coat pocket that saved me $40
Last week I was cleaning out my winter coat and found a crumpled receipt from a grocery run back in January at the Food Lion on 5th. Figured it was trash, but then I noticed the store had a survey code at the bottom for $10 off a $50 purchase. I did the survey, got the code, and used it to knock $10 off my next trip. Then I realized the receipt also had a price match note for eggs that were $1.50 cheaper than the shelf tag, so I got another $1.50 back at customer service. That one receipt ended up saving me $11.50, and now I check every receipt before I toss it. Anyone else have a habit of actually reading those little survey offers, or am I the only one who used to just throw them away?
