An old timer's comment about my mortar mix stopped me cold
Was on a job in Cleveland last week and a retired mason watched me lay a course, then said 'son, you're building for the invoice, not for the freeze.' He pointed out my sand was too wet and I'd get spalling by spring, and honestly it made me look at every batch different since. Anyone else get a one-liner from a veteran that changed how they prep?
