Found a stat that says 47% of plant lovers can't ID poison ivy - is that a real problem or just internet fearmongering?

I stumbled on this number from a 2023 Master Gardener survey and it makes me wonder if we focus too much on rare tropicals instead of teaching people the basics like what not to touch on a hike, what do you think.

Can't believe half of plant fans can't spot the one plant that'll ruin their whole weekend.

Can't believe half" - yeah it's bad. My buddy Steve spent a whole weekend slathered in calamine because he grabbed some leaves for a bouquet. Mistook it for wild grape.
