Pro tip: the used book store on 5th had 300 paperbacks in their free bin last Saturday
I stopped by Book Nook on 5th last Saturday and counted about 300 paperbacks in the free bin outside, which made me wonder if free bins actually help books find new homes or just make them pile up somewhere else. Half the bin was water damaged thrillers nobody wants, but I grabbed a clean copy of a Carl Hiaasen novel, so is a free bin better than a trade shelf where you have to bring one to take one? Curious what you all think.
