Question about how I ran my mystery night for 8 people vs what worked
I used to hand out the same list of 10 questions to everyone at our club meetup in the back room of a diner in Tulsa. Big mistake. Two people did all the talking for 40 minutes and the other six just nodded. Last week I switched it up. I split us into pairs, gave each pair one question from the pick, and told them they had 5 minutes before we came back together. The room went from dead to buzzing in about 2 minutes. Our quietest member actually argued with her partner about the ending and we had to cut her off to start. If you run a club, please try the pair thing before you burn out a whole meetup on one loud voice. What's your go to trick when the discussion stalls out?
