Our book club went from 14 people to 4 in six months and I know exactly why
We used to actually finish the book and talk about it, now it's a 40 minute argument about who picked the last three titles at the Panera in Dayton. Anyone else watch a group die because one person turned every meetup into a fight about the voting rules?
14 to 4 in six months is wild. Did the person who keeps starting these fights ever actually win one of the votes, or do they just like the argument? I keep picturing the other 10 people sitting there at Panera just wanting to talk about the book while this one person filibusters about ranked choice. At what point did the group stop even pretending to pick a book and just become a meeting about meetings?
