We were at the picnic tables in Grant Park last month, and I said the twist felt cheap. My friend Sarah got really heated and said, 'You just didn't pay attention to the clues.' Grant Park? You were in public having that fight? I would have died of shame if strangers heard me yelling about a fictional therapist. That’s the real twist, everyone within earshot now thinks your book club is unhinged. I get being into a story, but taking it to a full blown park argument is next level. No wonder you’re nervous for the next meeting.
