Hardcover vs paperback for our club, I switched sides after 12 years
Our book club voted on editions back in March and I fought for paperbacks since 2012, but the last hardcover we read had maps that saved my slow brain in the middle chapters. Now I buy the stiff ones secondhand for under $8 at the library sale and underline with a pencil. Anyone else give up their format loyalty just to follow a plot better?

Maps in hardcovers are the real plot armor, no shame in switching. Pencil underlining keeps it classy without wrecking the spine. Team stiff pages for life now, paperbacks just bend the rules.
