Rant: I called tube sheet expansion voodoo until a rolled joint blew on me at 3am in Gary
I always figured the old timer who kept a binder of rollout torque numbers was just being fussy, so I went by feel on a 2 inch tube in a waterwall header and swore I had it snug. Six hours later the joint leaked on a steam test and the same guy handed me his torque wrench and a chart without a word. Has anyone else had a rolled joint teach them a lesson the hard way, or am I the only one who had to get humbled by a header?
