PSA: The digital torque wrench at work threw a fit over a simple flange job
Tried to tighten a bolt on a boiler flange, and the new digital wrench kept flashing 'angle error' and refusing to work. Had to dig out my old click-type from the bottom of the box, so what's the point of all that tech if it can't handle a basic task?

Used to be all for the new digital stuff, thought it was the future. Had almost the same thing happen with a sensor on a truck lug nut, just locked up and blinked at me. Now my old beam-style wrench lives in my top box again, never lets me down. Sometimes simpler really is better when you just need the job done.

Can't argue with tools that just work, @jesse6.

On the Johnson job, our digital wrench detected a stripped thread before it snapped. Isn't that the point of the tech, to prevent bigger issues?
