Vent: I had to choose between finishing 'The Bear' or starting 'Shogun' last weekend

Honestly, I picked 'Shogun' and ended up watching all 10 episodes in two days. The detail in the sets and costumes is insane, but now I'm worried I'll never get back to the other show. Has anyone else gotten totally stuck on one and abandoned another good one?

Oh man, that's a high-class problem. You basically mainlined a whole epic instead of a sandwich show. The good news is 'The Bear' isn't going anywhere, so you can just jump back in when you're done with feudal Japan.

Is it really a high class problem though? Getting so into a show you forget about another one is just normal watching stuff. Calling it mainlining an epic makes it sound way more serious than it is. It's just picking what to watch next, not some big life choice. The Bear will be there, the other show will be there, it's all fine. We're talking about TV, not solving world hunger.

Used to think you had to finish one show before starting another. Then I got hooked on "The Last of Us" and let my whole watchlist pile up for a week. It just felt too good to stop. Now I just ride the wave when a show really grabs me. The other stuff will still be there later.
