Picked the 9-season show over the 3-season one, now I'm drowning

Last Friday I had to choose between starting The Wire or some flashy new Netflix series my buddy swore by, and I went with the long haul because everyone says it's the greatest. Turns out 9 seasons means 90 episodes of me telling myself 'just one more' at 2 AM, and I just blew through season 5 in four days while my laundry pile hits the ceiling. Has anyone else regretted picking the marathon option over the short sprint, or am I the only one who can't stop?
