Overhearing the baristas debate character arcs made me reconsider 'The Good Place'.

I marathoned it after realizing how deeply it resonated with them.

My friend binge-watched that show after a messy breakup and totally saw herself in Eleanor's redemption arc. She kept talking about how her own "forking" mistakes were just part of the process, which honestly helped her let go of so much guilt. There was one night she called me, halfway through season three, realizing she had been a Tahani about her career this whole time. It was wild how a comedy about moral philosophy gave her a framework to forgive herself, lmao. She even started a little book club to discuss the episodes, but it just turned into group therapy. The whole experience kinda proved how deep those character journeys can resonate when you're paying attention.

Chidi's paralysis analysis distracted from real self-forgiveness in my watch party.

Wait, your friend started a whole book club that turned into group therapy because of a TV show? That's a lot, @logan979. I guess I never thought a sitcom could hit that hard for people. It's wild how a show about the afterlife can make someone rethink their whole career like that. Makes me wonder what I'm missing by just watching it for the jokes.

Watched my friend map every character's arc onto her own life struggles unexpectedly!
